We decided to use social media as a tool to raise awareness about a condition which affects almost 4 lakh children in India.

Quarter 2
The Baking Story
RCBHG’s very own LEGACY PROJECT, that started off as a small fundraiser event(via sale of cookies) for buying menstrual pads for women has now grown into a grand scale project. With the aim to help women in the underprivileged sector of the society and their right to menstrual hygiene and awareness. Over the span of 5 phases (ranging from villages to cities), we have distributed 1000+ high quality, reusable cloth sanitary napkins.
This December we were able to transform the lives of 110 new mothers in the general delivery ward of Wadia Hospital by conducting a short session in their native language Marathi in order to bust all myths regarding menstrual hygiene and educate them over the benefits & need of these kits. This was then followed by distribution of the sanitary kits to each mother.
Lighting up Little Lives
This project was conducted to bring joy into the lives of little children who were admitted at Wadia hospital during the days of Diwali. Since they could not go home to their loved ones and celebrate with them, we decided to bring the festival to them, by distributing food, decorating the children’s ward with rangoli, diyas and lanterns to create a festive atmosphere for them and adding a little light to their lives.
The volunteers then interacted with the patients and individually distributed healthy food packages to them, thereby creating a special bond everyone cherished.
Tourism Causeway
The aim was to celebrate World Tourism Day by supporting the local vendors in Colaba who have been hit by the global pandemic, and therefore the closure of tourism. On the day, Rotaractors were divided into groups where each group was given a budget of 300 rs in which they had to buy as many unique items as possible.
The winner was funded by the club. The project ended with dinner at the iconic Leopold Cafe, where we clicked pictures and enjoyed sugarcane juice at the Gateway Of India.
Self Defense
The aim of this project was to enable women to defend against any type of physical assault. To build self-confidence so that they can contribute meaningfully to their own development, shape their own destiny and learn capacity enhancement through this self-defense training. The female rotaractors of the club were trained by a certified martial artist over the course of a 2hr session. They were equipped with basic must know techniques.
The positive feedback received has given us confidence to carry it in the future too.
India vs Pakistan
The aim of this project was to enjoy the spirit of the India vs Pakistan WCC match. The restaurant had also guaranteed a stadium experience to the members as they had 2 people with dhol's to always keep the momentum up. They decorated the entire restaurant to make it more fun for the viewers. Everyone in the restaurant was on their feet for every boundary and also cheering loudly for the team.
It was amazing to see lots of new members who were having a good time bonding with everyone while discussing the match.

TILE DAY
February 23rd, National Tile Day recognizes a timeless element of architecture and design. Around the world, tiles play a variety of roles. From modest to the most sublime ones, every tile proves to be versatile and attractive. Beautiful tiles find their way into every room of the house, outdoor spaces, commercial and industrial buildings by providing an infinite number of styles through color, texture, and dimension.
RCBHG celebrated this day of art by highlighting the AZULEJOS, blue tiles adorned by the buildings in Portugal and the history, art and significance of the same.
BEACH CLEAN UP “TARANG”
Our project ‘Tarang’ is an initiative to encourage beach clean up drives. We conducted this project in collaboration with the Seafins Organization whose motive is to get back the original beauty and cleanliness of the Girgaon Beach, and to reduce the amount of waste dumped in the oceans.
Cleaning a beach is a mammoth task where years of garbage has clogged the sea, which has led to frequent floods in Mumbai during monsoons. Our mission was to be a helping hand to clean the basin and subsequently the sea. Our small steps contribute to a larger cause, be it as simple as replacing, reducing and reusing plastic in our daily lives.
BLANKET DONATION DRIVE
When winter Arrived , RCBHG became the night's watch to shield the underprivileged from frostbites. We held a fundraiser and with the help of benevolent donors raised funds to buy blankets and donate it around in the smallest lanes and streets of the city.
MOVIE NIGHT
"Lagta hai Barf girne wali hai"-------- guess the movie?
Well yes, you (hopefully) guessed it right it's GOLMAAL, an absolute classic....
RCBHG organized a movie night for their club members. It was a fun-filled night where everyone watched an old comedy bollywood movie and munched on some snacks. It was a great opportunity for all members to bond with each other, especially the newcomers. After watching the movie all the members had dinner together and bonded some more.
