The Rotaract Club of Mumbai Malabar Hills organized the event ‘Distributing Raincoats to Mumbai Police’.  Considering all the efforts and sacrifices made by our guardians and heroes in these difficult times, we, at RCMMH decided to do our bit and help them out. On the 12th of July, Team RCMMH visited police stations and chowkis in areas around Malabar Hill, Marine Drive, Haji Ali, and Worli. We managed to distribute a total of 250 raincoats. It was highly inspiring and we were super glad to help and assist our heroes.

Celebrating a successful installation, in the right way.

How did we celebrate the grand success of our Installation Ceremony?

By sharing our happiness with those for whom we must especially work for - the underprivileged.

Inside tidbit: President Rtr. Anurag Patwardhan’s mother cooked dinner for the entire  team to celebrate after the Installation Ceremony. The idea behind this was ‘Home Cooked Love.’ She very kindly and happily agreed to cook for 35 people.

Next evening we went on a food distribution drive, a donation of love and nutrition. We were overwhelmed with the love that these underprivileged people showered upon  us. All the little kids were delighted by the tasty food, and wished us a Happy Diwali. With tears in our eyes and love and joy in our hearts, we wished them the same. The passer-by also wanted to join in! They encouraged their little daughters to also donate food packets.

Needless to say, our Diwali had started 2 days in advance.

RCMMH makes the city's  beaches cleaner.

ROTARACT CLUB OF MUMBAI MALABAR HILL STRIVES TOWARDS MAKING MUMBAI CLEANER!

On 5th November, the club organised an event to clean up Girgaon Chowpatty beach after  Diwali and remove waste as littering and garbage is a huge issue in India. The club worked  together and separated the wet waste from the dry waste. Moreover, our club enjoyed the  company of Viveck Vaswani, our guest for the event.

On 21st November, the club organised another community service event on Juhu Beach. This  event encouraged people to clean up the beach and take on more social responsibility as we  had many strangers on the beach join and help the members clean the waste. It was a  very successful event as the club filled 4 bags of waste and the difference between the ‘before’ and ‘after’ clean up was quite evident as the beach looked much cleaner than before.

Quiz Up

Our sports directors hosted this event to increase awareness of the sports industry and the  previous Olympic events. It was a very engaging event as members were keen on winning  the tournament by answering the questions correctly.

At the end of the quiz, a few of the  members had a debate on a sports related topic which kept both teams actively  participating and answering counter questions thoughtfully.

WORLD DIABETES DAY

On the 21st of November, an event was held discussing the major risks of diabetes and what  exactly it is. A lovely video was presented explaining the causes and effects of this disease,  making this event very informative yet simplified.

It included all the basic knowledge one must know regarding real world issues and why it is becoming an issue even more prevalent than before.

ITS TIME TO QnA

This was an entrepreneurship event which was conducted on the 14th of December and  included detailed explanations which gave insight about a business through an experienced  entrepreneur’s point of view.

It was an interactive event which motivated participants to  ask questions about the inner workings of a business, making it a very successful event.
