UN World Photography Day Contest
19th August
At Rotaract Club of Bombay Mid-Town, we held the International World Photography Day Contest, wherein a google form was created and open for participants to send in their entries. The goal of this project was to inspire photographers across the planet to share a single photo with a simple purpose: to share their world with the world. The theme for this year's World Photography Day contest was 'My City'. Under this theme, photographs could describe the elegance, beauty, culture, history, food, nature, skyline, etc. of one's city. We received a total of 40 responses and after a difficult judging session by the club and district members, we came out with 6 winners of the competition. The project was concluded on August 22nd and the winners as well as participants received E-certificates from our club as a token of appreciation.
LONAVLA BONDING SESSION
The members of Rotaract Club of Bombay Mid-Town travelled to our host Rtr.Bahman’s house in Lonavala for a bonding session. Where we stayed for a period of three days and two nights. We played several sports and discovered several talented players hidden among us. We went hiking and climbed a nearby hill as well and sampled local foods and delicacies thereafter. Several activities like carrom and cards tournaments were carried out. It broke the ice between several members and made everyone feel a sense of camaraderie and friendship as everyone could let down their guard eventually and be themselves. It helped members discover each other's hidden talents-cooking, in sports etc.
It was such a success that we decided to try and make it a tradition to be followed annually.

Diabetes: Its prevention and cure
Diabetes has become a lifestyle disease now. Earlier it was considered to be a disease which happens in old age but no, this can be seen even in young individuals. Many patients don't even know that they have diabetes and how to diagnose it.
So, we intended to first create awareness about this serious problem and then addressed the gathering about how we can prevent this disease. Many cases can be cured just with a lifestyle change and others can be treated with the medications and therefore, we wanted to address the people about the treatment of Diabetes.
There were patients with old age problems and as a club we thought that diabetes has become a serious issue with the geriatric patients. Therefore, we invited our Rtn. Lotika Purohit to address the crowd about this disease and she explained everything in very simple terms. The talk was attended by 65 people.

Quarter 3
Your Honour
People are passive and unaware of their rights, especially youngsters and adolescents. This project was undertaken with the sole motive of educating and spreading awareness about the rights of each individual and the responsibilities that one needs to undertake. Furthermore basic concepts like what is a contract and how one can file a complaint was also addressed. Advocate Husein Kagalwala shared his expertise and experiences with us which enriched our knowledge and gave us insights into his profession.
9 clubs collaborated with us! This event encouraged many as this concept was quite unique. This event brought about an impact on many Rotaractors as they were enriched and enlightened with the knowledge that was being delivered. The information was simplified and there were many takeaways from the event including contracts, FIR , marriage processes, protection acts, etc.
To the new beginnings
Since it was the dawn of the new year, the aim of the project was to share resolutions of the members for the year 2022. The impact of this project was that everyone has to set a goal, and achieve it during the year. By doing so, we could help each other plan for one's desired goal.
Tennis Match
Screening
Team club service conducted a Tennis Match Screening. We used the projector at Fariyas Hotel to watch the finals of the Australian Open, where Nadal won his historic 21st Grand Slam. Having learnt the rules and played it on-ground as a part of our project 'Learn a new sport' conducted previously, this game was thoroughly enjoyed by the members.
This helped serve as a reminder for our members to dig deep and rise up stronger even if they've had a bad run. It was a good moment of reflection for us all.
Share a bond
On 21st February, 2022 RC Bombay Midtown organized a club service event which enhanced the bonding between the new members and the existing members of the club. During our stay of 1 night, we partook in fun activities and also took the opportunity to brief the new members about the club. We played games like chess, carrom, badminton and took turns on the swings.
We then jumped into the pool and played games like water ball, and we even danced in the pool. We also enjoyed a few refreshments by the pool and turned it into a mini pool party.
Arcade Gaming
We went to SMAAASH Ghatkopar for this event, we used the special discount for all Rotaractors given to us by Rotaract District 3141. Hence everything was already organised and all we had to do was to go on a weekday. We had lunch and played fun activities like bowling, bumper cars, virtual reality games, car and bike racing, and air hockey. We left after having dinner at the mall itself. Everyone enjoyed and want to continue with similar projects in the future.
